Not sure if my Blazer ever had a rear seat from the factory as it doesn't have the four plates welded to the top of the floor nor does it have the rear seat crossmember that is below the floor.

The 4 floor plates get welded to the top of the floor, but how does the crossmember that is on the bottom attach, welded, bolted somehow? I see that there is 2 or 4 mounting plates on the back of the seat, how does the front of the rear seat get bolted down? Anyone have good pics?

I think he's talking about the 4 bolts that hold the back down.

I've never seen one that didn't come with a rear seat. I know damn near everything was an option, just never seen one like that. I can't believe they omitted the crossmember from the factory too.

Crossmember underneath just bolts through the bed to the seat. If you remove the bolts for the seat and two smaller bolts on each ends, it falls to the ground. The thin plates welded on top are kinda worthless. You don't need them.

I know the seat isn't pictured but those two plates are what holds the rest seat down

What is underneath the floor on the under side of the two front hold down brackets to give it strength, or is it just bolted though the floor?

There's nuts welded to the underside. Fine thread for some reason.

Kind of what I thought, I will have to look at mine closer, I don't believe mine ever had a back seat so nothing there.

Speaking of the stock mounting location, do you find the seat to be to far back?
