It will be a little while until I can spend any real money on this tank, but I figured I better get my plates back on a vehicle deserving of them.
Since I sold my K5 several years back, these plates have been residing on my stock GMC Canyon (work truck).
But they have a new home now, and as always... I like to Be iN Z MounTaiNS.

Sub'd. Can't wait to see the adventures in this one. I went back to look through your Blazer build and some of your adventures. Pretty brave taking Pearl pass that late in the season. We did it mine back in Sept 18 and there was still snow from the prior season on that exposed shelf. Thankfully it was 20 feet or so but the pucker factor was still high.

What's the plans for the Sub?

Im not sure on my plans yet, but I just glad to have a square body again. After my K5 we had a 4Runner, then a Montero and then an H3. All of them had their qualities, but after a couple square body GMs... nothing else is the same. Ultimately, the family grew and we have more than one dog now, so the vehicle had to grow too.

Since the engine already has a pretty healthy build less than 5,000 miles ago, I don’t think I’ll be spending any money in the engine bay yet. It already has a decent lift, sway bar disconnects and all the essential bolt on mods, so I’ll probably just be driving it until I can find a fair priced set of 1 tons. Once I find some tons then I start in with crossover, hydro assist and maybe bump up to 37’s.
However, this one will probably stay a bit more tame than my K5 since it is more of a “family friendly” rig. Just remind me I said that a few thousand dollars from now...:burb:
