Some of you know I put a 93 Suburban 5.7 TBI motor in the Cherry Bomb recently. WOW, what a difference. Smooth acceleration, more power than the pile that was in there. No stalling or stumbling. Very cool.

Thinking about a TBI spacer. Do they help alot????

Not really. The only ones that acually will give you more power are open plentium ones like this:http://www.turbocity.com/product_info.php?cPath=16_31&products_id=153 They build more power because they draw air from both sides of the throttle body.
The other 2 hole ones that are hyped all the time just move the torque curve down in the RPM range and make you feel like you have more power because throttle responce is better off idle.
They are thicker TB spacers and require adjusting and modification to the TV cable andlinkage to the transmission. If you dont get it right you can toast your tranny.

If you want some other TB mods that work check out this site also:http://marine-performance-parts.com/gmthrottlebodyinjection/gmtbiperformance.aspx
The injector spacer and power charger will give you the most bang for your buck.

Glad to hear it. FI rules offroad. The difference is night and day especially when you are offcamber. When I did my TPI I noticed a HUGE difference in performance HP wise and also offroad wise.

Glad to hear your doing well with the swap, the TBI is really a simple system once you get used to it. You should see a big improvement in your mileage. I told 3-tree it used to take between 40 & 50 gallons from here to Gunnison, I can get there now on a single 31 gallon tank.

If your interested at all I have one of those cfm-tech TB spacers that I cant use anymore and would be willing to part with it for a lot less than what cfm-tech sells them for.
