Since I was unable to find a replacement part for my 72 Jimmy it was time to get out the cardboard and scissors (to make patterns). 
This piece is on the drivers bedside behind the door pillar looks like some kind of gravel shield, the rocker box also bolts to it as well.
Next major bed piece to replace is the bed cross sill.
Then I can start on the minor rust and then work my way to the cab section.
My dog helps me by sweeping the floor with his belly.
