Well here it is. I took a bunch of years off from wheelin. Last year I took my 3 year out broke a front 10 bolt axle . I was running 35's and dual lockers in 10 bolts on my short box. Was a real pain getting out even with my winch and two Zuki's with me. I then decided if I'm taking my kids out I've got to build my rig. I now have dual lockers in a 14 bolt and D60, high steer and 38 TSL's. I figure I'm good. 38's and a 305, Im over built. Well my first real run on this set up.:doah: :doah: :( :(

I was going to just buy one inner and maby upgrade to 35 spline outers. I guess I don't know what to do. I've never heard of small inners. Please school me.

there are neck-down shafts and non-neck down shafts. youve got neck down, which narrow the majority of the inner shafts. stupid idea, but you are going to want non-neck downs this time. heres a pic, neck down on top, non neck down on bottom

I think the necked down ones were the earlier years. Most of the CUCV's were all mid 80's and should be non-necked down.

yea the neck-down shafts were 70's and early 80's i believe. mines an '84 and its got non-neck down shafts.

Thanks for the advice guys. Two more questions.

(1) Is it just a dirrect bolt in for the non neck down or do you have to change the inner seals or anything?

(2)Any body see anything wrong with having one side non and the other neck down?
