First trip to the dark side

I start a new job on Monday with a little bit of a long commute. I have been looking for a 4x4 commuter for the weather that I cannot ride my motorcycle and ended up picking this up today.

I almost bought one in '12. Decided to go back to school instead. I was very dismayed with a lot of the "Chrysler quality" issues though.

Must be a Jeep thing?

Chrysler was just the last one of the big 3 to pull their head out of their ass on quality issues. This one is 500x better in every way compared to the early 2000's that I looked at before this one.

They get the 3.6 cracked heads issue fixed? That was the big hibbub when I was looking at them in '12.

Variety of other stuff. Leaky tops, incorrect assembly work, 6 speed manuals dropping gears, etc.

Friend of mine has one like that with a 6 speed standard...I drove it and liked it!
It was new then 2 years ago. she still has it and likes it,

Everything I have been able to find on the motor looks like the problems stopped being reported in 2012 models.

Ya the issue was burning valves and they have fixed the issue.

I like my 2015 Rubicon Unlimited but most times I prefer my 'Burb
