Fishing in South La.

A couple of friends flew down from Phx week before last for a little fishing. I picked them up in NOLA and met another friend in Dularge. We stayed at his camp and came back Sun.

We fished Thurs a little, and then Friday and Saturday. Caught 18 trout Thurs. afternoon and a few black drum and redfish. Friday we caught a lot of trout and kept 60. The guys from Phx also both caught large Black Drum which we went looking for just for fun (too big to eat - catch & release). On Sat we kept 80 or so trout and released everything else (either too small or species other than trout).

The perch fishing can be fun too, if you can get on them when there hot. Spring is walleye and fall for perch. I have friends with boats, all you need is beer and bait.
