I need to be pushed in some direction here guys.. I'm stuck with this poor old s-10 in the back yard that I don't want to send to the crusher.
My girlfriend has this '93 s10 4 door that she let sit for about 2 years. Last year I replaced the water pump, spider injector, fuel pump, map senso, cat backed the exhaust plus put on 2 new tires. Our financial situation took a dump so the truck sat until now, so last week I went to move it and the windshield was cracked, the gas tank and one of the brake lines rotted out, the egr is stuck so it idles like crap and I think the trans may be slipping. Fortunately the body and frame have held up well and the interior is in decent shape with only 100,000 miles on the clock. I had planned on body lifting this thing, stuffing 33's on it with some aftermarket wheels and trimming then using it for a winter beater/ camping and trail rig for this year but it seems like it needs a little too much work. I like the blazer but I figure I'll have a little over $1,500 if I repair it and stuff bigger tires under it.
My other option is to get a quad and let the s10 sit or sell it. I can get a decent 2wd quad for $1,500 that's more than capable of the trails here or a 4x4 for about a grand more. The good thing about that is I won't have to insure another vehicle and it will fit in the back of my '87 c20 when I want to go play... no trailer needed.
