Fix one problem....Find Another!!!!

Hey All,
I just had a four hour reminder on how much I hate changing the rear brakes, the front disk brake take under a hour, why can't the back be the same. Anyways my rear right brake was grabbing on me alot so I went to replace the shoes and found out why that side was grabbing. The seals on my axle were shot and the fluid was getting all over the shoes. So now I have a nother thing to fix. YEA HAW!!!!!

sorry to hear about that i hate changing rear brakes too that's why i am going to do a rear disk conversion

Mine did the same thing but since I haven't had time to pull the axle apart, the other side blew out too. Now they alternate back and forth, it makes stopping quickly on wet pavement pretty interesting. To make things worse, the filler plug is siezed in the axle so I can't fill up the diff and I know it's pretty low. It's a good thing I have the next three days off, hopefully it will get above 35 out so I can work on it without going numb.

I couldn't get my filler plug out either so I just used an Easy out on it. You just drill a hole through the middle of the plug(not easy with cheap bits) and jam the easy out through it. Then get a wrench on the end of the Easy out and turn it so the edges dig into the plug and it will turn. Then throw that plug away and get a new one.
