fixed electrical now for another problem

ok got everything finished started it without the manifolds straight of the heads and it seemed to run good didnt really rev it much seemed to have good response... put the exhaust back on and now it wont run worth crap and its barely moving then it starts overheating and exhaust dont sound right but i got to fix my exhausst leak... could my catalytic converter be plugged i put a new magnaflow 3 inch 2 yrs ago almost but this last motor burned a quart of oil with in 20 miles for like 5 or so days straight...do you guys think its plugged?

i just wasnt sure... i wanted yalls oppinion... my dad is in total disbelief that its the cat.

Definately a plugged CAT. An engine that burns oil will plug a CAT quickly.

sounds like ill be cutting my exhaust pipe and taking a screwdriver to the guts of the cat tomorrow anyway its midnight and i got to wake up at 6 and go to school i just finished working on it.. but wouldnt it of ran like that two months ago when i took the motor out? it sat for two months

Oil is cooked onto the high temp guts of the cat and permenently plugs it. Rather them hatchet job it order a replacement and do it right or just cut it off and straight pipe it to the muffler.

well ya see i dont have money for a replacement and i want to straight this just gives me a reason to now gut it.and i have to have something there cause ill fail inspection

FIXED but i think it has bad gas cause it still tends to run bad
