I traded my 1990 NP241c VSS speedo housing for a mechanical one to go in my '85 Suburban and I am having an issue. I kept my tail shaft housing and went to put everything on today and the output shaft bearing in the speedo housing sticks out about .100" too far, and I can't get the output shaft housing to sit flush.
Did the mechanical and VSS use different tail shaft housing bearings?
