If its going into your K30 the ujoints will be too small on the K10 driveshaft.

i know. ive got a 1410 shaft out of a '05 2500HD (1410's) but its slip yoke (idiot po thought slip yoke was better than fixed yoke:doah:) im wanting to get a fixed yoke shaft, get the back part retubed and use my 1410 yoke at the axle end. that would work wouldnt it?

Since your going to change the end anyway, it can work. Have him double check which u-joint is at the tcase end though. Some 1/2 tons used 1310 at that end, others used a 1350.

I have one out of a 78 K5. I took it in to make it longer for my lift, but they said they had to make a whole new one with a CV front and u-joint rear. If thats true then I should be getting the stock one back. Let me know if you still need one. Send me a PM rather than a message here if you would. Thanks.
