I got a 205 from behind a th350, going to put it behind a 700r4. My question is can I put a flange on it besides the fixed yoke that is on it now? Here is a pic in case I didn't explain it well. Or is the fixed yoke just as good?

You would need to swap that 10 spline front output for a 32 spline then you could put the flange on it.

I guess the only upside is that it would be 32 spline instead of 10? Whats the probability of it breaking?

I also need to say that you need to use the teckpak fitzall spacer between the 700R4 and that TH350 adapter otherwise you'll have issues with the front output hitting the corner of the trans pan.

yeah I knew about the spacer. Thanks for the quick reply. My 208 doesnt have long to live i'm afraid. Cant wait to have twin stick capability. Just wanted to do everything that I can while I have the 205 out on the floor.

FYI the flange on the front of your 208 will work on the front output of the 205 if you swap in the 32 spline output. Also since you said you're going to do a twin stick on the 205 i can tell you right now that the flange from HAD will not work. The OD is too large and makes contact with the shift rail and heim for the shifter. I have a doubler sitting in my garage right now and was going to go with the HAD flange but it won't work so i installed a 208/241 flange instead since the OD is smaller than the HAD flange.

Do you know where to get a 32 spline output cv flange to fit the 205? I want to mount a disc for a parking brake.

The flange hanging from the front of the 208 from the factory is 32-spline (Saginaw style). I used this for both front and rear outputs and had the driveshafts built to match. The only advantage I know of for the HAD flange is that there is a driveline brake kit for it. I've never looked into mounting a brake rotor on the 208 flange.

There are 3 front output styles: 10 spline, 30 spline, and 32 spline.
The chevy 10 splines seem to be 77 and earlier with a 1310 cv yoke front output. i have yet to see a flat flange for a 10 spline front output in the junkyards.
The chevy 205's from 77 ish up have a flat flange and that will be a 30 spline front output. i have yet to see a yoke front that is 30 spline in the junkyards.. I'm would think you could get 10spline flat flanges or 30 spline cv yokes, but i've never seen them from the factory.
Ford 205's and some dodge 205's have a 32 spline front output, usually comes with a bigger 1330 yoke, not a flat flange. but like scott said you can use a 32 spline 208 flange or whatever for that ford front output shaft in your 205.

For my setup i pulled an older ford f250 np205 front output, 1330 yoke, and front driveshaft.. then i chopped, shortened and rewelded the front driveshaft back together to make it the correct length for my k5. just make sure you get the indexing right for the ujoints and make sure its pretty straight before you weld it up. i didn't even balance it, and i've spun it close to 60mph in the sand without a problem.

your best bet is upgrading to the 32spline front output so you have more options for flanges as well as yokes.

I've got a flange on my front and rear 205 after converting to 32spline on both. I was able to get the twin stick to work by rotating the shift rail heim up out of the way. It's the big flange for a 1350 CV.

i put the for 32 spline in my 205 and but it behind a 700r4 with that spacer and i cannot run a cv shaft. the cv is about 1/8 of an inch from my pan at the closest point i used the flange from a gm 208 . so to help me and him is there any way to fix the problem besides getting the yoke machined down the proper amount. is the ford 32 spline yoke shorter than the gm one?
