So i cant get my HVAC to work right. When i swithc to AC the air only comes out of the floor vents (84 Diesel Sub, no rear air)

When its on outside vent it comes out of the dash.

I havent looked at the blower motor but the thing is super loud and doesnt pus hthat much air. . .

Are there any type of modifications or different motors i can swap in?

like maybe the dual A/C subs had larger blowers than all the others? or a conversion van?

I need to do something to fix this. . .

anyone done anything to make their AC blow colder or harder?

I was thinking about HC-12

If the motor is loud with little airflow, you should open things up to see if there is a foreign object in there - maybe leaves or a mouse nest. As for the air not coming from the right vents, there is probably a vacuum line disconnected. Can you get it to come out of the defroster vents?

I would try to figure out what's wrong before looking into mods.

Something isn't working right as mentioned previous. Figure that out and you should be good to go. AC setups got the best motors, and AFAIK, all AC setups were the same, of course short of the rear AC units on some Sub's.

if u find out its your vent controls themselves causing u an issue, depending on your style of controls, i have a bunch here ill send u, all u got to do is cover shipping

Mine's not diesel, so I'm wondering, does it have a vacuum pump just to run dash vents? Brakes should be hydroboost, so it wouldn't need vac there. Maybe no vacuum being supplied to system? I can't remember how those vents default without any vacuum.

well i found a guy in my squadron, a TSgt none the less who just happened to have a huge canister of R12 and did some work for me for the heaping cost of a six pack of coors light.

we vacuumed it out. ran nitrogen through it and vacuumed it out again. it held and so he charged it with R12. now magically it all works perfectly. The compressor cycles on and off, the controls work perfectly, its awesome. i just need to find a way to tighten the compressor belt more. i cant get it tight enough . . .
