So about two years ago I had wreck, guy pulled out in front of me t boned him doin about 35, screwed up a bunch of stuff mostly sheet metal.

But it also twisted the cab so its way crooked with the bed about an inch and a half.

When fixed it back then I loosend up the bolts and tried to come along it back over but it wouldnt budge so i said screw it put the other front clip and drove it like it was.

Im 99% sure the frame isnt bent.

Could it be that where the bolt threads into the cab is bent that much?

What do think would be the best way to yank it back over Im mostly concerned about not warping the cab where I attcach the chain or whatever.

Long post:rolleyes:

I'd check the cab mounts myself. It may be just a couple broke bolts but if it's as bad as you describe it may be in need for a new cab alltogether Ldunno:

I'd measure that fame for squareness for sure. the frame could have easily gone from a square to a diamond shape in that accident. The cab and body being off by an inch and a half seems a bit much, I don't think the cab has much more than maybe 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch of adjustment, and the box has basically nothing more than the slop of the bolts holding it down. I'd get a friend to help you measure a few different points on the frame diagonally, in each side to side direction to be sure the frame has not moved. I'll bet you thats your problem unfortunately.

Does the truck go down the road straight- as in, not sideways down the road as viewed from outside the truck?

Cab swaps are so simple... infact trucks are so cheap right now, why don't you just buy a straight truck and transfer over your goodies? Then part out what is left. You will be ahead by 10 miles going that route.

I do have two parts trucks but i dont really want to swap everything kinda sentimental

As far as i can tell the frame is straight. measured measure and measured some more

looks like it going down the road staight and drives good.

I measured from the rockers of the cab to the frame and this is what i got.

Front drivers is 16 in
Front Pass is 16 in
back drivers is 14 3/4
back pass is 17 in

I measured every truck on the place and got mostly around sixteen, give or take a 1/4 in

Thanks for all the input guys I hadnt thougt to measure diagonnaly on the frame for squarness:bow:

So wear do thank a should yank on it at:thinking::D seat belt bolt, seat frame bolts?

Wadya think

I don't think you will ever get it close again without some serious work. A porta-power will give you the force you need to move it around. But if you want it fixed right for sentimental reasons... take it to a body shop and have a pro who knows what he is doing tackle the job.
