Flat black? Primer grey? Post up your pics!

i painted mine primer grey, and liked it, for a couple days, went out this am and bought duplicolor flat black and hosed it, got the fenders done today, gonna do the doors, hood and cab tomorrow, and maybe my red stripes.. i think high gloss red over flat black...

Here's mine...been flat black for almost 5 years now.

Well I dont want it lookin too nice cause it wont be for long :haha:

i like yellow also, but after my first truck got painted safty yellow(got paint free from sherwin williams...they sponsor the demolition derby around here, all you have to do is go in and tell them you need to paint your derby car, and they will hook you up ...tack rags for a derby car, thinner, strainers, and up to 4 gallons of their industrial enamal. i got black for the car and a gallon of yellow, red and orange, was doing a flame job...off the rear of the car..hehee)

anyway i wound up with alot of the colors...i took me a couple of months to decide red, hunter orange, or the yellow. i finally painted it yellow, and within 6 months there where about half a dozen other 4 bys that where yellow in town, so i went from every1 knowing the truck to which1 is that! then all of a sudden yellow trucks seemed to appear on every magizine cover for several months!

i wish i had gone with the hunter orange, i am restoing a '69 and its getting a shot of hugger orange! i mean its easy enuf to paint a truck...my mall crawlers usually get bright colors, my trail or mud trucks.. always get either a semi or flat black or od green.my current mud runner is od green with the beretta emblem on the door big like a police emblem on the side(every1 thinks its a game warden rolling up on them, its funny b/c when people are doing stuff they shouldn't be they run or hide thinking its a officer)

i built a truck on a blazer frame and used a stepside bed, painted it yellow, and then i put 4'' vertical black stripes on the rear fenders and had a local vinyl sticker store make me a left and right version of a bee with his tail turned out front with the stinger ran out and it was based off of a super bee rear bee, except i had mine read killer bee!(instead of super bee) every1 loved it, but the novelty wore off real fast and it got painted summit white after about 3 months. so paint it whatever, if you don't like it you can change it, some guys around here paint their trail rigs with rollers and brushes, actually looks better than you would think.

here's my 77/79/86 k30, just finished (mostly) the flat blacking..
