Flat or....?

Hi everyone, been awhile since I been here.....once again. Just busy, don't suppose anyone here knows about that huh, . Getting ready to paint the K5 it will be med. blue with white top as original. I'm thinking flat clear coat on the top vs gloss. What do you guys think? What have some of you done? Thanks for the ideas.

Do a gloss.

Flat is too porous of a finish.

I say semi-gloss or gloss with clear coat. Flat with clear coat will look like you shined your boots with a snickers bar.

So how was top from factory? gloss right? Need to do mind till i get to repaint whole truck thanks yall

Some real thread archaeology here! Cool to read through some older stuff, but not much point in replying to a 9 year old thread.

The hard top was never gloss from the factory, it was a flat textured finish.
