looks like standard style bolt on trailer hitch setup. and the back of the bed comes real close to it.

oh ok. I was thinking it might be a good idea to keep them seperate... especially considering my booger-welding skills. 
Parts that trailers attach to probably shouldn't be welded by rookies like me. I'll keep 'em seperate so I don't have to worry about it.. there will never be 6000 pounds of chit on the flatbed.
