It would appear that my flex pipe in my camry has a hole in it now.. somewhere. Anyhow here's the price break down:

The flex pipe come along with a CAT. So... expensive:

EBAY: 170
OEM: 300

Flex pipe weld in piece: 10 dollars. For shop to do it about 120.

Is it worth 90 dollars of my time to do it myself? Im getting fat and lazy arent I? :doah:

Get it welded, aftermarket cats for imports are crap. I work at a dealer, we get them welded all the time.

How many miles are on it? Just went through with my girlfriends Saturn. It's an 02, but the miles are low enough that the emissions warranty still applied. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it for free.

If they try to give you any hassle, tell them it's against the law to tamper with factory emission parts before a certain mileage. And since your cat is connected to it (as is a new pipe)...it's their problem.

Well, no go. Apparently, since its 2011, the car delivery date was 6/17/2002.So the expiration was 6/17/2010.

I just went and bought a flex pipe section. 10 dollars.

Don't know the exact code numbers. I guess I should have been more clear, by tamper I mean remove/modify. We took the car to my friends shop and they clued us in on having the dealer do it. They (Tuffy) didn't want to get involved with possible warranty work.
