I was bored so i decided to go up this little embankment next to my house to see how well the lifted 52's up front and the johnny jointed rear would flex. Seems like it shouldnt do too bad. Heres some pics. Sorry about some of them being kinda blurry.

Looks good but I think you're going to have to trim some more to see it's full potential. :wink1:

i like the way you trimmed for the reverse 56s. do you have a pic of the front shackle angle at ride height?

no i dont, but it is still not good. I ended up trying to run the 52's in the forward most hole of the b52's, and it caused the shackle angle to be straight up and down. I plan on moving it back one hole(where i originally had it), and see how that looks.

its just like you got hella droop on the front axle. i want that! my front angles SUCK crap and i need to fix them. but non 52s up front.

ya, thats what is cool about the b52's is the adjustability that is built into them. It makes things a little less complicated when you want to shoot for getting everything dialed the way you want.

You should keep the springs in the front of the B52's and go to 56's.That should should fix the shackle angle and keep those tires further up front.

wow,,thats a big truck. looks good.

The lil white/black dog in the background didnt look too amuzed though. :D

That is awesome! I can't wait till I can run mine. I got the 56's with 7.25 shackles in front and 64's in the rear with DIY4x flip-n-switch. Watching yours, makes me wanna try to flop mine!:D

Nice. How much lift are your front 52"s? Did you move the front rear shackle or is it still in the factory location? Are your rear springs stock height or are they lifted springs as well? Do you have a build thread somewhere?

Nice looking ride! How much total lift?

You guys are making me want to work on mine.:D

thanks guys, i appreciate all the compliments. trimming the fenders is definitely a must, i just need to get time to bust out the blade and go to town. The springs up front are 8" lift TuffCountry 52's, and i did have the shackle mount moved forward when i did the spring swap, but the springs were burried into the frame, so i moved it back. Also the rear springs are 4" lift TuffCountry's, w/ a zero-rate to position the axle where i thought was key. The total amount of lift is just a little bit over 11", i still need to do some adjustments to the front thou, so it might be even closer to 10" when i'm done. The front axle is moved approx. 3 inches, and the rear is moved aprrox 3"..

Nice work that thing flexes crazy for that much lift. i know you where having body roll problems get it figured out yet? hows the ride and is there death wobble with it being that soft.

the body roll was something that i got use to fairly fast.. i mean i dont drive the truck like a racecar, and it will barely see street time, so for right now, i'm not putting any type of sway bar on there. Once it actually goes "4wheeling" then i will see. As for the death wobble, i get it pretty bad around 25 mph, but it shakes out. I believe its because my castor is out of wack( its at 12degrees, and needs to be around 5-6), so i need to fix that, and i dont think my alignment is dialed yet. There are some things that still need to be done, and hopefully i will get them taken care of asap.

sick ride u got there...does flex very well for sumthin with that much lift...looks like i gotta lot 2 do 2 catch up...

how might 1 go about trimmin thier rig in the same fashion as urs??? whats the technique u used?
lot of cut off wheels tape and not being afraid to cut it up..i still hit my fenders im prolly just gonna loose them all together or taper the front eventually
