Flexplate differences

I am not the only one with trouble . Finally got around to r+ring the tranny in the 99 Sub I scored for six bills :laugh:

Theres either variations due to manufacture , or variations due to year . Here is the problem with the 99 Suburban :

It broke taking the front pump in the 4l60e out .

Heres the flexplate closer , center was INTACT and motor started , but it came out with one whack of wrench :

Heres the two flexplates I have , one off the 99 Sub , and was installed with the motor and tranny by a Tucson shop :

Now the one I have thats still good came off a 88 Chevy truck 350 . It is a little flatter in the center , and has differences on some holes . The converter holes match , the crank holes match , just some extra holes were drilled in the 99 one .

No markings on the 88 one except a number , the 99 one is marked "made in Mexico" , not that that means much unless they have had problems with those for any reason , metallurgigal or otherwise .
