I think its just the rest of the rig that makes the links look small...

What's the yellow hose leading into the axle tube on the rear? If it was into the diff, I'd guess an ARB airline ... but ya think oiling, maybe, 'cuz the angle is so wrong?

That truck was in a mag. a while back. I dont think those are updated pics. He had a front driveshaft and some other little do dads on it to.
 
Dana 60s front and rear. Maybe a 70 out back. 11.5"s look like a 14 bolt FF just slightly different.

I say the big problem with Coilovers, is $$$$. I'd have a set right now on the back of my S10, hell I'd have a set on the front too, but then I wouldn't have been able to buy my new MIG, or any other of the tools I have bought and well wouldn't actually have them installed on the truck, ha.
 
Looks like one hell of a mud truck, but I think it would be a bit top heavy for much else
