I haven't been wheeling a lot, but have been at it for about 10 years...in that time I've only flopped the Jeepster once...came close a couple times with it as well, being a narrow wheelbase vehicle it tends to want to tip sometimes.

So post up which applies to you, and a pic if you got it....

The worst I've ever done was hit the ground so hard that a shock blew out and straight through the floor pan in the rear of my truck.

And a few scratches on the paint, but nothing serious.

I'm not that hard core ... :D

Dad and I used to recreate accidents for attorneys. So all of the above. Many times. Did all of those one time, coming off of a water ski at 80mph. That hurt.

wait, what Wade????

so your like a stunt man?

I put the steering stabilizer on my CJ on backwards once upon a time. It locked up, and put me in the ditch.

I slid along on the side for a while with mud scooping in on me until it finally stopped. Got out, hooked up the winch and pulled it back up on its wheels.
Had to drive home slowly, because it wanted to shimmy at anything over about 25 because the stabilizer snapped when the wheel hit the ditch and forced it back straight.

And, of course, I have already posted about spinning my truck upside down by suspending it from the winch cable and a chain.
But other than that, I have managed to keep the wheels on the ground.

Sometimes a few feet under the ground, but still pointing in the right direction....

My wife, my oldest daughter, and I have all rolled or flopped. Wife was the worse with a nose over.

that eerily feels familiar Kert....

PLAY IT:

does rolling the company truck count????

long story........

lets just say....

I learned the hauling azz in reverse,,, spinning the steering wheel to spin the truck around like you see on TV.........doesn't always work like you thought it would....:eek1::eek1:

yeah.... 18 years old....showin' off for my bud's.... :rolleyes::rolleyes:

79 Ford F-150 company truck with service toolboxes on the bed sides....

about 30 MPH in reverse....spun the wheel to the right.....tires dug in and I don't think the side of the truck ever touched the ground.....it landed completely upside down......kicked out what was left of the windshield and crawled out....there were PVC fittings and copper fittings from the tool boxes thrown 75 ft away...:haha:

yeah.....explaining that one the next day to the boss was fun......

Why yes Dave I did today bad one too

There will be vid posted in my build thread but here is the aftermath.

BTW the roll started above the guy you can see in the pic with the black hoodie on.

I have also barrel rolled in a samurai, 4 complete rotations, flopped it more times than I can count, I have never gone over backwards or forwards though.

Passenger side flop......

Flowmasters.jpg

It was at one of the first Blazerfest events at Hollister Hills.... A Friday afternoon warmup run on a relatively mild "blue trail". There was a good size washout running down the middle of the trail, and instead of straddling it I picked a poor line and dropped the passenger side tire into it.

The see-saw effect started slowly as the truck pivoted diagonally on the DS front and PS rear tire. As a n00b, I didn't know to just "throttle out" to get that tire onto higher ground..... I just pushed the brakes as hard as I could (as the truck was tipping over) and kept holding that brake uselessly as the truck rotated and started crunching metal and hurling toolboxes and supplies out of the bed. :D

That body damage was probably the inspiration for repairs that snowballed into the "Might As Well" project I'm going through now...

Never wheelin, But do cars count:whistle: then theres 1 full roll (more like a hit hill, land on top , bounce , land back on wheels:doah:) and one roll all the way over the top and up onto the other side, then fell back on top.

All we got for wheelin around here is semi flat mud roads, you roll on one of those you should stop wheelin:rolleyes: di come close in a few hilly pastyres though:thinking:

I've never beem lucky enough to just "Flop" as rig. I always managed to roll them few times.

I've had some hairy moments during my 4x4 outings but always manage to keep the shiny side up.

Did flop one car though, during a compact car fig 8 race, I was driving a 93ish Corolla. Guy got up under my right rear during a right hand turn and started pushing, dirt track and was fairly dry. Left side tires dug in and over I went, stopped on the drivers side. Race was stopped, we flipped it back over, I got back in and started it back up, race continued. Fun times. Fun times.

This was the car after it had been in a couple fig 8s and the compact car derby, no pics of the event. That thing drove up on to the trailer under it's own power too. :haha:
