OK, I am redoing most of the floor in my 75'. I was looking at a newer blazer at the yard for some other parts and I noticed that the floor is lower in the back where the rear passengers would have their feet (it is even with the front cab floor), while mine is flat with the rest of the bed of the truck. After a few quick looks, no messurments were taken, it looks like I may be able to duplicate this with my new floor if I move the appropriate body mounts. Does any one know for sure if I can do this? Or does some one have easy access to both styles who can take a few measurments to save me a trip to the yard?

Thanks for any ideas,
MikeM

It can be done, but you would have to move the body mount that are on the crossmember behind the seat area, remove the crossmember [for the floor clearance] and take the brackets off of a newer frame and weld them to the outside of your frame so you can use the newer style outboard floor mount.

I did it the other way around because I already had a donor truck that wasn,t costing me anything. If you have to buy the stuff it really isn,t worth the expense in my opinion anyway.
