I am going to install a floor shifter but I can not figure out how the cable activates the transmission. The cable looks like it works similar to an e-brake cable but where would it mount to? Would a bracket have to be installed? Does anyone know how these things hook up? I have emailed B&M but no responce any one know how thses things install? I want to know what I am getting into before I shell out the cash

I have installed one on my nova. They work quite well. The bracket bolts to a couple of the pan bolts. They work great, I have a b&m quicksilver.

Hell, it don't really matter....it's just for my race car.

I installed a B&M light truck megashifter in my 84 K-5. The cable mounts between only the shifter itself and the gear selector on the trans. The rigid-ness of the cable pretty much keeps it suspended. You just have to loop it between the trans & T-case. Then, bolt it to a bracket that uses stock trans pan bolts. When I get my "84 build up" camera developed, I could show you. But right now, that's the best kinda description I can give you
