Obnoxious load after 3000 rpm. What is a good quite muffler? They are 40's.

If the pipe is not exiting from under the truck, they are all loud

Otherwise look at Magnaflow, dynoMax or Borla

i am in the same boat i want flow but quiet . my 50 series 3 chamber delta flow single 3" in/out is exiting in front of the l-r tire and its to loud for me . std cab long bed truck 350 engine . i have a length of 3" pipe to move the muffler back under the box and do a tail pipe . if then i still dont like it i was keeping a eye out for a 08-09-10 ish 3/4 ton 6.0 stock 5 gal bucket size muffler to install .

Walker makes some really quiet ones. Dont know the part # though

It is on my truggy and they exit out behind rear tire. Sound good until 3-3500 then plug your ears. Hard to drive like that.lol can't go much longer but definatly needs to be quiter.

The last I had checked, in terms of absolute reduction of sound, the Walker quiet flows were the quietest tested. Obviously no test will include all available mufflers, but the test I recall it was run against Borla and the like, and still came out ahead.

I have yet to install mine. I dislike the flow master 10 series on the truck now at any speed, but I'd rather hear nothing too, and I know the flowmaster design is not for someone like me. Except when free and falls into my lap right when I need it.

The Jones 'Quiet tone's are the same as the walkers but a tad cheaper. I've used them and they sounded good.
Jones, walker, and at least one other brand are all the same like gmc and Chevy. Same parts, different name.

Amazon is where mine came from I believe. Walker can be had from orilleys

I had to go with something else. The walkers don't have a center outlet. Would have to make different tailpipes.

If you want a quiet Muffler, get a stock style replacement. Any aftermarket muffler on a Chevy 350 is going to make noise.

Sounds like you’re basically looking for a stock muffler then. The stock 5.3 was ok for quietness in my 2010 silverado but I wanted a bit more sound. It was pretty quiet up until 3500 or so. Now I use it as a dirtbike stand so my kid can wash his bike.

flow master is not my flavor anymore and also there parent company and i have had a bad trip so i dont like to use them anymore .

i am looking at that walker # above for the blazer in 3" in/out to swap on and be done .
