need some headers to get rid of some emissions stuff. They only need to last about a year but they need to do so without headaches. FlowTech any good? If not what do you recommend?

Also, anyone know where I can get a good, no emissions intake manifold and edelbrock 650 electric choke for cheap?

I bought a set of flowtechs and had them hitting the frame. Had to bend them which wasn't fun without the right tools. Other then that the coating is worthless. Comes off in the first 100 miles and will chip very easily. They should last a year though.

Definetly sounds better and has more punch then the stock manifolds.

For a carb and intake I'd look at ebay. Just make sure your buying new.

www.summitracing.com www.jegs.com or hit up ebay or craigslist.

I wouldn't be to worried about buying a used intake, as long as none of the holes are stripped out. It's not like they wear out. A carb I'd like to check out in person if it were used. And ask if the jetting was messed with.

I'm currently running FlowTech headers with no problems. I bought them for the 88-95 truck so they're shorties and you just need to grind about a 1/4" deep spot on the driverside frame rail and plug the 02 sensor hole for them to fit the 73-87 (91) blazer frame.

i've been runnin flowtech headers on my blazer for 4 years and the only problem i have ever had with them is the collector gaskets kept blowing out but i got some aluminum gaskets and no more problems. i never had a problem with the flange at the heads. so in my opinion they work great. just my .02

flow techs are junk! bought a brand new set and could get all bolts in but one on drivers side...... no matter which ones i started with. had to end up cutting the flange on the headers to get all bolts in.

never had any problems out of mine, on my 83 k5 , i bought the cheap set from autozone , had to remove the bumpstop bracket from the frame on the passengers side .and the paint like said before only lasts about 100 miles...other than that great fit and doesnt hit the frame or shackles
