I have a brand new Flowmaster 50 series muffler with 3" inlet and outlets. I bought it for my 1990 5.7 Blazer but it was a little too loud for me so I went back to stock. It has a few scratches on it from me dragging it on the ground to get it under the truck. It was on my truck for less than 10 minutes, just 1 block of usage (up and down the block to test it.)
