Flowmaster single 3" in place of factory dual exhaust?

I kinda like how some folks have made the two legs of the Y pipe extend all the way back past the t-case. Gets rid of the necessity for the pipe to go under/between the trans and the case. MIGHT go that route if I can find a shop worth a dang around here.
At that point I'd probably go all custom anyway.

AJM,

why are you so set on a mandrel bent setup? For your use, a $100 flowmaster muffler, $25 tip, and some 3" exhaust bent at a shop should more than work.

I don't really see the benefit of mandrel bending in essentially a stock replacement setup.

Because well...I can get it as cheap as the crush bent usually. The Flowmaster setup at $216 in my hands is around the same price as most of the bubba shops around here would charge for a similar crush bent 3".
Heck, if they're like Michigan they'd try to sell me the Flowmaster cat back kit or insist on selling me duals "cause duals are pre-form-anse" and also consider 3" HUGE.

Guess I was just spoiled by San Diego.

I'm honestly not entirely sold on the Flowmaster muffler but it's what the kit comes with. Only other premade kit is Gibson and theirs is 2-3 times the price of this one. If I find a place that actually does quality work I might go with a Magnaflow or Borla.
