Do they sound good? B/c i have a 84 with a 2 1/2 cat. conv( i think) w/ a glass pack muffler then ys to duals i was thinking on replacing the glass pack with a super 40 Flo b/c i dont really like the sound of the glass pack kinda sounds a lil crapy....

go to web site and thay have sound bits. and only get single muff thay sound better with the duel out on muffler. i have 40 delta flow and 3" in 2 1/2 duel out and it sounds much meaner than my other truck with 2 40 delta flow units and 3" tail pipes. wish i had gone 1 muffler on the 2 truck.

reg 40 delta flow unit. and it sounds sweet you know its comming. if you want more base sound bigger pipe on tails. if more loud and snappy smaller tails.

Mine has dual 40 series (original, not delta flow), no cats. It is pretty loud and is the best exhaust I have ever heard (I am probably kinda biased but I get compliments on it all the time). Also if you want it to be loud, go with one muffler. The cats quiet it down quite a bit.

i was looking at a Direct-Fit muffler for 1973-1995 Gm trucks(flowmaster) i was wonderin if thats n e differen theres 40 series 40 series Big block Delta flow

so im guessin 40 series

i was just wonder if it makes any difference if its a direct fit or not

this person is right if you want loud but still sound great. the regular 40 seris wich I think is the amrican thunder sound great . also one more is borla xr1 is reall steeping up sounds great really deep but kind of expensive.

I'm running dual 2.5" exhaust with Super 40s. I'm just using turn-downs after the mufflers. It's loud and I like it. Really only obnoxious at 1000rpm idle. My mud terrains are louder at highway speed than the exhaust.

i'lll let you know next week, i'm schedualed next wednesday for a compleate exhaust, including a super 40 muffler..it will be 3inch from the block into the cat and into the muffler than dual 2.5 out the back..the size of your pipes affects the sound, and what a lot of people don't realize your engines compression contributes alot to the sound, mine is 10.3:1, so it will sound different than a truck with the exact same exhaust and stock compression..(thats why race cars sound so mean! all that compression!!!):D

The Hush Power II is designed to give "old hot rods" the old 50's sound. Not really meant for modern vehicles.

what do you mean? smaller diameter tail pipe for mroe of a higher crackly sound? and gigger tailpipe for a deep tone? i always LOVED the POP in a exaust but i dont know what it is from

u mean the "pop" sound u get from letting off the gas?

thats from blow back in the exhaust..mine has alot.
