Flowtech Headers- worth buying or not?

Found a great deal on Flowtech headers- standard Series. Would be going on a 350. Anyone have any experience with these? Worth buying or keep looking?

i have the flowtechs that autozone sells. had them on for 10 months and no problems yet. only paid $65 for them new /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I found a set a Carquest for $117. Have to try to avoid shipping costs up here, so might have to go for them. Thanks.

Had mine for a year, through all 4 seasons, only problem is surface rust. But a little cleaning, and some hi temp black paint and they're good to go. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

i got some on ebay for 70 bux. i think they are flowtech and they are great.

I had a set of their 'coated' ones, and they rusted through in 2 years....

I will not buy another set of Flo Techs....

No comment on FlowTech's, however, I recommend Doug Thorley Headers...not cheap though...I have the triple chrome plated ones for corrosion protection, after 6 years they have a little surface rust. If I had to do it again, I would get a set unplated and have them sent out for jet hot coated...

i have had 7 or 8 pairs of them, and only paid for 2. the rest were all under warranty. they dont fit the greatest, but for $75+/- you cant expect a set of Hooker Super Comps. mine have a lifetime warranty on them, bought em through Auto Zone. if they ever rust out, or just look to rusty for my tastes, i take em back. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

i got em on my truck, blew the motor and took them off, got a new set at autozone thanks to the life time warranty, i never had a problem with them, you cant beat the 70$ and lifetime warranty

how much of noticed performance does it give? i have a 305 w/ 33" tires and 3.42gears, would it be very noticable or just kinda like eh i sorta think i feel it pulling more.?

i didnt notice anything different other than it was quiter, but thats because they replaced cracked manifolds

i didnt notice a huge difference between my 2 1/2" duals and headers over the stock manifolds and 2 1/2" duals. there was a slight increase, but nothing to write home about. my manifolds were getting pretty crusty, and the pipes were about gone, so i decided to replace it all.
