Flush mounted my CB in my dash... *pics*

I got around to mounting my cb this afternoon... I used to have it hanging off the dash in front of the TC shifter but it got in the way all the time so I decided to mount it in my dash.
Not the fanciest work I've ever done but it's sturdy and gets the job done :D

When I have some extra money I'm going to run the truck over to a local CB shop that does in vehicle tuning... I'll have to unbolt it and slide it out but once they're done I'll put it back in the way it sits now.

That looks like an up or down firing CB.. isnt the speaker now inside the dash? Is it loud enough to hear driving, or do you have an external speaker?

Yeah I thought of that... I turned it on the weather channel and I didn't have any problems hearing it.
Like you said though if I need it down the road I can always add a little external speaker.
 
Yep... I paid off my tires on the tow rig. I used to just about break even but now I have a little extra cash each month without that payment.

I'm going to buy a Detroit from Chris tomorrow and I'll hopefully get that installed in the next week or so before I have to go back to school... other than that and getting the CB tuned I think I'm ready for our trip to the dunes in February.

Yeah Jon was talking about doing a snow run this month but I'm not sure if I'll make it... I need to finish up a few things on the k10 and then save my money for gas/trailer for the February Dunes trip...
 
Is yours just sitting in there or is it bolted in?

I think if I had a real dash I could have just slipped it in but with all this fuzz and mush I had to bolt it down to the top of the ash tray...
 
Brett, I've said it before and I'll say it again, that console rocks! I must find one :p:
 
X2... nice layout for a bunch of switches...

I'm moving all of my switches and buttons to the spot where my AC/Heat controls used to be... hopefully it'll turn out as clean as your center console!
 
ya lots of control for the lightbar and other addons on my plow truck.

all nice neat and in 1 place. each switch box is 6 switches. #1 is 40amp autoreset breaker and #2 - #6 are 15amp blade fused on back. each is lit up when on and front face names are lit when dash lights are on.

its a police console unit from a cop car.
