Flushing out a differential

Anybody know what is proper to use to flush out a differential? Kerosene? Brake cleaner? Degreaser?

I have some sludge in the axle I am putting in and would like to flush it out before I install it.

I use brake cleaner.

Yup. BrakeKleen is the cat's arse. Just make sure you let the diff sit open and let the cleaner fully evaporate before slapping the cover back on and filling it up with fresh oil.....
