Dropped the fuel tank yesterday, and there was some crud/dirt on the bottom...how would one get it out?

take a match and light it, then drop it in the tank, but only do this if it is 1/2 full or less, because a 3/4s full tank might be dangerous.:waytogo: if that doesnt work. and if its empty just take some rags and i think the hole is big enough for my hand to fit in if i remember correctly and try and mop it up.

i used a coffee can full of lugnuts before....just drop all the nuts in there with about 2-3 gallons of gas and slosh it around

If you can fit your hand in there, reach in there with a rag and wipe it up. The cleaner the better, but that's why there are two filters in the setup. Someone else was thinking about hosing it out, I suggested turning it upside down to do so, IF the tank is made so that the crud would actually flow out and not get caught in the sender fitting ring. Water won't hurt anything as long as it's allowed to dry thoroughly.

don't bother with fixing you tank. for abou 120 buckks get a new spectra premium tank. thank is made in canada and is high quality. spectra is oem for auto industry

There isn`t really anything to be fixed. The tank just has some dirt in it.
