I have a little mini mig that is pretty crappy. It doesn't quite go cold enough to weld sheet metal so I was wondering, if I bought a flange tool and and just did plug welds if it would work better. Then I got to thinking that you can use smaller diameter (ex .025") on a gas welder so I was just wondering if you can find something of similar size for flux core? Just so I didn't have so much heat.

The smallest I've seen is .030" which you should be able to run pretty cold.

Well I did a few plug welds on some scrap 18 gauge that I had and it looks like that will definately be the way to do bodywork. Now all I need is a flanging tool. Would this tool work ok? Would you be able to get into a corner with that? If not, how would you do corners?
