flywheel Question

hey guys,

quick question...can I use the flywheel that was originally behind a 427 tall deck truck motor behind a small block?

You should be able to, unless it's a 1 piece rear main seal small block. This is assuming that the 427T is neutral balanced like the 427 passenger engine.

that is what i was wondering. i know the 454 has an odd balance, and flywheels for them will not work with smallblocks. but i don't really know jack about tall deck motors.

Yes, it will work, the only BBC engine that was ever externally balanced is the 454. Like was said though, as long as the SBC isn't a 1 piece rear main engine it will work.
