Looks like all the bicyclist don't like us on the trails there. Looks like alot of the back country places don't either. What is really surprising is that the Chevron signed it. If it wasn't for the four wheelers filling up with gas there they probably would make 1/3 of the money they do now or less.

I'll agree to that... I doubt I'm be heading to moab in my fullsize rig any time soon... but it's good to keep stuff like this near the top... Sticky this or something... =)

Its hard to beleive a small town would want to get rid of an activity that brings their town so much money??????? ttt

eh small towns are that way. They don't think about the economy as much as how mad they are when they see or hear(exhaust) something they don't like, driving down THEIR main street. The little town I live in right now would be economically dead if it weren't for Wyotech and the coal mines. But the people in the town HATE Wyotech. They don't mind taking money from its students though.

i have a idea on the gas station . find a friend with a tanker and fill it up. then park it next to the trail head and sell it to only the 4x4s . and piss of the gas people that way. and do thay rememmber the saying ( dont bite the hand that feeds you)????

TTT

and a link to PBB. They are in need of funding for an ad in the moab times (local newspaper) that will say "thank you for supporting the offroad community" or something along those lines. :cool1:

clicky

How about a list of a few business' that did not support the ban. Almost sounds like 1/2 the town signed it.

The problem with this letter is that SUWA (Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance) seems to have misrepresented to some of these businesses what the letter content would be, as if you could trust any of these radical weenies. We're finding that some of the shops listed are very active and supportive in land use issues. Stay tuned as the U4WDA is working on a "trail friendly" program to identify who is on our side.

Some local people are raising money to run a full page ad thanking the Moab community for hosting the Jeep Safari. Thank you ad!
