Two things I've done.

1) Use a second truck with the tailgate down, back it up right against the grill or bumper.

2) Bought this ladder for other purposes but now it's my "work on the blazer" ladder. Home Depot use to carry them, Warner 3' step ladder, but no more. $88 bucks. Works for now, but the truck is only 2" lift on 31s.

I usually or stand on the bumper or sit on the rad support or stand on the tire depends on the job but ive seen tire mounted ladder thingy in harbor freight tools wich are pretty good although i wouldnt buy it for my sefl im a bit "heavy"

years back my buddy had a front reciever hitch and made a full width platform that just slid in, had a shelf that could be slid into the platform behind you too.....no up and down **** and balancing tools and such. i want to do this when i get my front bumper too.

I have an aluminum work bench that is about 16" high and 3 ft long. works very well. a simple 3 step ladder works well for easy stuff like oil changes.

Nope, your all wrong. You don't have to spend a bunch of money on something to stand on either. Just get yourself a good ole milkcrate. I wont go anywhere without one!

I'm 6'1", my truck has 8" springs and 39" tires....I have an aluminum motor cycle stand I made back in high school that get's tossed in the back of the truck just for engine bay access reasons. Or if I need to get my mom/grandma/sis into the truck. With that, I can work on pretty much any part of the engine compartment except the firewall. For that, I climb my 260lb ass onto the core support and hunch there like a gargoyle.

Supreme70 gave me one of those. it works great for most things.and it folds pretty flat. sometimes it's just easier to climb in and have at it.

out in the world away from home I use the get in there and get intimate thing. but at home in my tiny garage i have an 4' wide 8' long 2.5' tall wood platform that i can pull right up to. plus i store all my coolers , 3 ton jack, air tank, etc., etc. underneath it. its the same level as the bottom of my door into the house so i can walk around and look down into the front of my truck with 6" and 35's

Been there done that, but if I'm doing something that may take awhile I just remove the hood and climb in.

well k20 is sporting ~9" of lift + 38s up front, Im 6'3, I just use a 5gallon bucket and then superman up over the core support. I can usually get comfy and support most of my weight on my stomach & hips, and either let me my legs rest on the bucket (usually on the toes), or curl em up into the engine bay if I gotta get back near the distributor or something behind the carb. Just gotta watch that hood latch on the jewels......

I run mine up on the lift. Remove tires and fender wells. Then lower the whole thing onto the ground.
