The bar is 1 1/2" CDS (may have been 1 1/4 can't remember and the truck ain't here, I rode home to get those pics, lol) CDS is a more readily available form of DOM over here.cbbr said:Thanks. Nice setup. It looks fairly simple and should do the trick.
What did you use for the bar itself and the ends? Is that a patch in the bend or for extra support?
Like CBBR says, quick release. The panhard restricts off road flex a bit. For gentle stuff it's fine but if you want to get serious you can just pull the pins and throw it in the back or hook the axle end up out of the way (i'm going to make a retaining plate a bit like ORD does for their sway bar set up.)ntsqd said:Why the Implement pins? I understand what they do, but why do you want/need them?
That's correct but it also helps leaf sprung vehicles to a lesser extent. With cross over steering the side to side movement of the chassis over the axle makes for bump steer. Also, when turning at low speed the steering can pull the chassis across the axle losing some of the turning motion.nvrenuf said:What is the purpose of the panhard set up on a leaf sprung vehicle? I always thought they were used to locate the fame/body over a coil type suspension.
