The 3/4 vs. 1/2 ton debate.


do we really have an out come?

all i really want to know it for later years, my case 88-89


is there differance in the frame? thickness, hight, streangh?

From what I've researched and read, from 73 to early 80's, the 1/2ton and 3/4ton are the same. Somewhere in the early 80's, the 1/2ton's frame where made a tad thinner. The actual frame rails are the same height(minus thickness) and shape(bends and such). The only other difference is the crossmembers throughout the yrs varied slightly in different spots.
