For the love of BUGGIES

I've never seen one of those "SR". That is sweet looking!

Man I’ve always dreamed of finding a resorter in a barn somewhere - funny though, I ran into some of the Meyers Manx guys driving around Orange County in resorters… they are going to release the resorter version 2 sometime next year in 2025 (the body will probably be about 5 times my budget for a toy, but still cool news!)

yeah new restorers from Meyers Manx, I think there may be a few out already. Two members just built resorters. Then promptly hualed them to Cap cod and Buffalo, Before traveling down under to visit with the Aussie Manx Members.

I am not sure if these two are original early Resorters or new bodies

All right I'm confused, are you guys saying "restorer" or "resorter". Is that model/version?

I'm thinking resorter....probably used to haul people around resorts before 8 seated lifted golf carts became all the rage.

You know for as commie as California is on emissions on everything I'm surprised there are so many of these things or were they all built pre emissions?

Yes resort-er. Aka Torista made for Mexico resorts mostly in Baja. Bruce mad 75, very rare. They fit on a full pan, the normal fiber glass body is on a shortened pan 14.5"

And they have LOW sides! So easy access for people that can’t do the dukes of hazard window entrance.

I had a more modern cherry red body (full pan) that I sold after storing for a while- would have been cool, but it was made for “mid travel” and was 4 inches taller than a standard Manx body. I really don’t want to be sitting down inside a bathtub hitting my elbows on everything. I always liked The resorter and And the burros, and the Empi sportsters for their layout/usablilty. Easy to get the folks in and out for a Sunday desert drive to town

This was in Huntington Beach a few miles from Meyers Manx. They were family/employees and were hitting all the local spots with an origional and one of the new cars to start some buzz about the rerelease

I’m having a hard time remembering which was the origional vs which is the repop? The hoods are slightly different and there are a bunch of improvements to the newer body design
