TARussell and I tried to install a set yesterday in some 12.5x36x16.5 SX's on 8 bolt rims and they kicked our butts!
Problem #1 - the insert actually cut into the tire bead when we were pushing them in.
(method = pushing it in by foot like shown on USA6x6 site)
Problem #2 - once in the tire sideways the insert was wedged so tight we couldn't turn them to so they'd be parallel to the tire.
Are these common problems? Did we do something wrong? Should we have used a ratchet strap to squeeze the insert (oval shaped)? I know this works on the rubber 12 bolt wheel inserts.
