this is a pic of a k5 blazer with 400sbc/nv4500/1tons and 37" tires hanging on a 2 post lift in my shop and all body mounts are tight minus the front 2 at the core support .

this shows 3/4" gap just hanging there in the air .

Imagine how about the gap would be if you had a plow on the front of that thing
 
A Fisher plow frame beefs up the front section of the frame pretty well though..they are twice as thick as a stock frame rail..

7ft 6in down fisher is 5/16" thick material plow frames on the truck .
8ft and up fisher is 3/8" thick material plow frame on the truck .

and you can not direct swap the blades . fisher made them so you didn't accidentally bend them all up with the mix-n-match .
