So whats the point of a narrowed front and rear? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

I second that of rjfguitars' question..

narrowed front ends increase visability, decrease weight, make it easyer to drive thru tight spaces, and severly decrease the "normal" condition law enforcement likes to see.

With the skinning the hood, removing the body lift from the front and pulling the fenders in I can see!

I had a chance to pick up a nice newer s10 cab and I decided to see what I could do with mine first. I still may do the swap as the body isn't being sold any time soon. The biggest change came from going to 81 and up hood, that alone got me about 1.5 inches or so, but I needed more so narrowing was the way to do it. The change is HUGE, I can now see where my fender and hood use to hide each front corner, the difference is worth it, just dont let yourself get a jeep look from it /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

the only loss I see is since I trimmed the latch area away I no longer have a "shelf" when working on the truck to put all my parts on. My approach angle looks better but who needs that when your truck doesnt drive /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

An option for the round headlight guys would be baja headlight buckets. They look like a KC but hold a DOT 7" headlight. And yeah the narrowing really helps visibility, My burb is WAAAy better now.
