Still trying to get the new project running right. When i drive it now, it shifts normal under acceleration, but when i coast or just apply only slight pedal pressure, it feels like it is slipping really bad.. like it's in neutral... it just revs high without going anywhere... as soon as i apply a little more go juice, it seems to right itself and drives normal. So as long as i am accelerating it's fine, but when i even out the throttle and cruise along it slips and revs high.. there is plenty of fluid in it too.. Any idea's?

not a trans guy by any means. Any chance you have a vacuum line loose or disconnected. I had an old F*rd in high school and had similar problems. Looked underneath and there was a vacuum line hanging. That fixed it. Good luck.

I'm going to guess a bad sprag assembly. I'm pretty sure i know exactly what you're describing since every once in a while my trans will do the same and i've asked my trans guy about it and that is what he told me it "could be". My trans is a 700R4 though.

maybe i'll have to run it by my tranny guy to see what he thinks.... good thing the m1008 i bought has a th400 for a spare.. just in case
