This year I have noticed that the snaps seem to be harder to un-button. I have a softtopper that's about 3 years old. Can I just put a little grease on the snaps or something? I just don't want to rip the top one of these days.

Thanks

Assuming that the snaps themselves have a smidge of surface corrosion or crud on the metal, I'd do like WD40 or 3-in-1, not something so heavy as grease.

Works perfect. Doesn't dry up. Put a little inside the female part of the snap. Never had an problem on my soft topper after.

With that, you can stick any male part inside a male/female part you want without a single snag. Good times.

So my samurai had snaps like the soft toppers do.

Just lube it up a bit. I think I have used just about everything folks have suggested.

I started waxing the buttons. Dirt didn't stick to em and worked pretty good.

If you tear a button out its usually not a big deal I had the stuff to replace them myself. Even at an upholstery shop it was only a couple bucks
