I have one of the Ford 203's from a C-6 (78?)
I have 2 GM 205's one a THM400 (1985), one a THM350 (1980)
I have one GM 203 from a THM350 (1977)

I would like to use the THM400, and use a doubler set-up.

Will the Ford case do me any good here, or even the GM 203?

Thanks, Zim

swap 32spline input into the GM203 and bolt it infront of the th400 205 and youll be set

now would that 32 spline input be installed into the 203 (rangebox), to mate the 203 case to the output of the THM400, then put the 205 onto the 203 with a coupler?
will the 203 output match the 205 input?

You are correct on the first part of your thought. The 32 spline input into the 203 will allow you to use the range box with your TH400 with the correct adapter of course. The 205 needs to be from a TH400 trans as well then you buy the ORD adapter which will give you the new intermediate shaft that will allow the 203 and 205 to be mated together shaft wise along with the aluminum adapter plate that goes between them.
