I was just wondering if its possible to mate a ford 205 transfer case to a TH350? If so kind of mods will i have to make besides a new adapter? Or will a newer t-case out of a 94 chevy work better? I need something that has a drivers side out put for portal axles. Thanks for the help.
Cory.

Without a doubler it might be a little difficult. The ford case uses a larger diameter input gear than the 350 version. Don't know if you could source a bearing with the OD of the ford case and the ID of the 350 input. Either that or have a machine shop make a spacer that would press in. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I really dont have enough money for a doubler, but would a t case out of an half ton ifs model chevy work? Thanks for the help.

Should be able to use the 241 from behind a 700/4l60(e). The only drawback might be transmission output length. Might need an output from a 208 equipped 350. Not sure.

an IFS 241 will be a direct bolt in and just what you need for a High Pinion 60 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I will be running a 700R4/IFS 241, but I picked up a Ford 205, for an eventual doubler, this evening.

doh, the shifter is on the opposite side. So you may have to switch or move it. Shifter from the same IFS rig might help.
