ive looked through the site for info on ford 205 to chevy tranny swaps, and they are all old and not jive-in with what ive heard. ive been told that a ford 205 will bolt up to a th400, you just gotta spin it to drop passenger side, and change the shaft. can anyone else here dispell these rumors? and if they indeed are NOT rumors, and you can do that, do i need to change the shift linkage too? thanks everyone.

only way to do ford 205 to chevy tranny is swap in 32 spline input to ford case. then modify the 6 bolt round adaptor pattern a bit on the th400 85-up style.

then use a driverside pumkin axle.

or you can run a doubler kit and still have a driver side drop tcase.

been asked and basicly there is no running a 205 upside down and have it work right and hold the oil.

what is this for ? more info we might get you in the right direction.
