ford 57\" springs question

Okay first off, is it the front or rear that are the ones I use. Second, do I just need the springs, or do I need to the mounting stuff and whatnot. Thanks, getting ready to tear the springs off the custom f-150 in my backyard. Thanks

Re: ford 57\" springs question

I have my fingers crossed they will be the same width /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Will it give the truck any lift like the chevy 52" springs in the front would or move the axle? Thanks.

Re: ford 57\" springs question

as long as there offo f a f-150 yes they are the same width, 2 1/2" wide. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: ford 57\" springs question

combined with a shackle flip it'll net you about 4" of lift. You'll also need to move the shackle hanger back at least 2.5".

You'll also need an offset zero-rate block, or re-drill the spring pack to get the diff in the correct spot. The 57's are 25"/32" where the 52's are 26"/26". I re-drilled mine at 26.5" and did the shackle flip...then moved my shackle hanger back 2.5" and used a shackle 1.5" longer than stock.

It's not a direct bolt in, 2 hour swap...it takes some work to make it work

Hey Rene, what happened to the write-up you did for swapping the springs? I saw it in the advanced tech preview forum but the link doesn't work /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

With a 4" shackle flip, or a 2.5" shackle flip will get me 4"?
